Dorcy Frigon

Dorcy was born in a fishing town in Aequix; a country located on a different continent than Krones. Born as an unwanted child, her mother abandoned her and left her in a garbage dump as a baby. Luckily a handful of pirates found her and decided to take her in and raised her as one of their own. Naturally they taught her to plunder, steal, and sneak into enemy ships. Thus, Dorcy quickly developed great speed, skill and smarts. At the age of nine, the man who she considered her father entrusted her with his magic wand, which glowed intensly when it touched her little hand. Since none of the pirates were very gifted with magic, she experimented and learned on her own. As she had a natural talent, her magical abilities were rapidly growing, as did the respect of the other pirates. They named her the Firing Fox due to her long red hair and her reputation to shot first and ask questions later. Even the officers sent by the government were no match for her.

The years passed and over time her life began to seem monotonous. No robbery excited her and spending each day on her father's ship—who had died of a sword wound a couple of years earlier—didn't seem fulfilling anymore. However, everything changed when they tried to raid a research ship. Dorcy ran into a short, skinny girl with expensive-looking clothes and the appearance of a porcelain doll.

That girl stood between Dorcy and the treasure she had come for. She couldn't help but laugh at the sight of the girl. It had been more than obvious to Dorcy that the girl was the daughter of a wealthy family. A family that would offer a large sum of money for her safe return. Living up to her nickname, Dorcy immediately engaged in battle. To her surprise this girl was not as easy of an opponent as her appearance would have suggested. The girl turned out to be an experienced magician and excellent duelist. Finally, exhaustion made Dorcy lose focus for a split second, giving her opponent the opportunity to strike the final blow that would knock her down.

Angry and feeling humiliated, Dorcy prepared herself for her punishment. The girl however helped her up and introduced herself as Leanne Vicrow. Dorcy was livid and didn’t know what to think of it. As Dorcy tried to make sense of it, Leanne continued to amaze her by offering her a place on her ship back to her homeland Krones.

Dorcy was going to refuse, but she was intrigued by Leanne. She was practically the first and only rival who had managed to defeat her. On the other hand, she was offering to see another continent. It wasn't every day that she would get an opportunity like this. So, in the end she accepted and set off with Leanne for Krones.
